BLOG POST STARTS HERE :Alright...so I didn't get a change to workout last night due to work and event planning. I got up this morning and tried to bust out a "cardio session" by doing the warm up to Max Interval Plyo. Everything was going well...until my body decided to handicap me!!! Classic Nate Films Present....NO PAIN NO GAIN
The warmup video is pretty bad....not sure why....taken with the same phone as always. Here is my failed attempt on Day 40 to do one arm pushups! Ha ha FAIL!! (actually this is me trying to explain myself...then the failed attempt)
Here is another funny one from Day 40...thought I had one more rep....FAIL!!! ha ha
I post a ton of pics on my meals and my meal prep. Why? Well...I want people to know the work we do at my house to keep out diet and meals in check and healthy. I also want to inspire and educate others that it is not hard to eat healthy. In fact, once you get your habits in place, it actually simplifies your life. I know that because of my focus on my diet, and the time that we put into planning our meals, we feel that we have more energy, we spend less money and we never under eat or over eat. (Unless of course...its Sunday and we have both agreed to kick back and enjoy some splurging...ha ha...we are not perfect and we don't expect anyone to be. We are just real people trying to extend our lives...not kill ourselves by only eating bird food everyday!!!)
Don't forget there is only 1 DAY LEFT TO REGISTER for our P90InsaniT25 Summer Challenge. Click HERE for more Details!!
Here is a picture of my meal prep this morning. All this is accomplished using a very cool system from the 21 Day Fix. See the Yellow, Red, Orange, Purple, Blue containers. These containers allow me to know what foods I need to be eating and how much to eat. I set the times I eat and the rest is history. Fat melts, energy levels are high and I feel great!!! Never knew eating healthy would be this easy.
I made it to Week 7 of this program. Feeling great!! Actually feeling much more muscular than from my last "after" shots. My pull ups and pushups are getting stronger. My diet has been a little lazier than the past few months, but I am still at a weight of 186 to 190lbs. Good for me right now and right where I wanted to be.
Today is Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and Ab Ripper X....Great workout with a killer ab routine after. More pics and video to come...Stay Tuned

This picture is part of my dream board. This picture
represents many things to me. It is a place I can take 30 seconds and go
to when I am stressed out, over worked, under- appreciated, agitated, angry,
sad, etc. It has so much power to it because I have made it that way for
me. This picture represents happiness in my life, financial freedom for
my family, healthy living for my family and the people around me, laughter from
my kids, fun, excitement, the future, a place where I can breathe, a place
where negative thoughts don't touch me, a place where I can sit and feel the
cool breeze on my skin, listen to the sounds of the waves crashing, hear my
kids laughing and playing. A place where there is nothing but peace and freedom
from life’s stressful thoughts.
Do you have a picture like this? Do you have a place you can
go? Do you know what motivates you?
Do you have a dream? If you don't
know, then take 15 minutes to sit down and figure out what it is. What
keeps you pushing? What drives you to work harder and smarter than the
next person? What gets you so jacked up that nothing can stop you?
What is your dream? What is the
driving force behind everything that you do?
Whether it is your kids, your spouse, your family, something material, a
vacation, a better life, etc....whatever it is...don't just let it be a passing
thought! Own it, remind yourself of it every day! Write it down,
take a picture of it. Look at it, touch it, speak it every morning when you
wake up...before you go to work, when you come home, before you go to bed.
Chant it, meditate on it, pray for it. Visualize yourself in that
moment. Live that dream!!
ALLLLLRIGHT!!!!! Day 40 of my P90x Insanity Hybrid workout. I was a little beat today. We have been going pretty hard working out, taking care of kids, doing our day jobs, and setting up these Beachbody events! All in all, I feel really good right now, but today the energy levels were pretty low. Today was one of those days you just close your eyes and push play and take it one second at a time until the blood starts flowing and the sweat starts pouring. Today was Legs and Back. I have bad knees. My left knee is much worse than my right, but they are both fairly weak. So leg days are always a slow, methodical, take it easy type of day until I get warmed up. Here are a few videos and pictures from today....
Yesterday was Cardio X (a P90x Cardio workout). Had 30 mins before we went to a meeting that evening. Got in a good sweat but no pics or video. It starts slow, but then heats up at the end. Insanity is really the best program for the cardio portion and P90x is great for the muscle building portion.
Tough workout. But it was a nice break from Insanity. No matter how much I workout Insanity always kicks my butt!! Today wAs back and bi's. Nice bicep pup today. Rach hit it pretty hard today too. I really have lost a lot of strength from my heavy days...but you know I really don't care. I'm down 30 lbs and feel great!! Bring on day 39!
Awww man!! Back and Bi's workout. Last night's workout whooped my butt!!!! Insanity Max Interval Circuit!! Wow! I couldn't even finish the workout!!! Must stay focused and push hard today!!!
Its Monday!! The weekend is over!! Did you feast or did you stay on track?? (IF YOU NEED MOTIVATION THEN WATCH THE VIDEO AT THE END OF MY POST!) Do you have your workout & meal plans ready for the week. If you have not then, today is the best day to start. Take 15 minutes to sit down, plan your week for your workouts & meals. Make your grocery list and take a trip to the grocery store to stock up for the week. Prepare your meals. Plan out what you will eat and when you will eat it. Be smart. Make sure to eat at least every 3 hours. Carbs in the morning instead of late at night. Don't go out to eat as much. Make sure you are taking in enough protein. Don't over eat. Don't starve yourself. Find a rhythm. Know your nutrition goals.
Now, what is your workout program for the week. Are you exercising to lose weight or gain muscle. Do you have every day planned out. Have you considered the time it will take to do the program? Are you planning on an unforeseen circumstances that could pop up that will get in the way of your workout. Review your notes and plans the night before. Get your game face on.
Nutrition and Exercise is just like a business. Work hard, plan properly & create the right habits and you will be successful. Fail to prepare, don't plan, get lazy and your results will be a byproduct.
ITS MONDAY....ITS GAME TIME and as the good John McCarthy always says....
